Wolves promote Terrence Shannon Jr.; Damian Lillard sidelined for Bucks

Rookie Terrence Shannon Jr. of the Minnesota Timberwolves is making progress with his groin injury, as his status has been upgraded to questionable for the game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday night. Shannon has missed the past five games due to the injury but could potentially return to the court. Before his setback, Shannon was getting limited minutes and contributing to the team’s efforts. The Timberwolves have no other players listed on the injury report, while the Bucks are still without Damian Lillard and Jericho Sims. Lillard, the Bucks’ second-leading scorer, is out indefinitely with deep vein thrombosis, the same condition that ended the season for another NBA star. Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks’ leading scorer, is listed as probable to play despite a shoulder injury. Bucks guard Pat Connaughton is questionable with an ankle issue. The game between the Timberwolves and Bucks is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.
