The Minot State Beavers had a successful doubleheader against the Dragons, winning both games and improving their conference record to 10-5. In the first game, the Beavers defeated Minnesota State-Moorhead with a score of 11-3, led by junior Anna LaCount’s outstanding performance at the plate. LaCount hit two home runs and drove in three RBIs to help secure the victory. In the second game, the Beavers walked off with a win against the Dragons, responding with a run in the bottom of the seventh inning after Minnesota State-Moorhead tied it up. Senior Jasmine Blizzard pitched seven innings, allowing four runs to earn the win for Minot State. Offensively, junior Taylor Smith led the Beavers with three hits, including two triples. The Beavers will face the Winona State University Warriors in their next game, looking to continue their winning streak.
