New Balance introduces a new sneaker inspired by the 1970s lifestyle

New Balance is staying true to its heritage with the release of a new 70s-inspired lifestyle sneaker. The latest addition to their collection takes inspiration from the 320 silhouette launched in 1976, featuring the brand’s signature “N” logo on the side. With a slimmer profile compared to their athletic lineup, this everyday sneaker is designed for comfort, style, and practicality.

The sneaker boasts an oversized leather ‘N’ logo, mesh uppers with suede overlays, and a wedge-shaped midsole on top of a herringbone-patterned outsole. A retro touch is added with a classic “fang” design on the toebox, giving a nod to New Balance’s traditional look. The shoe will be available in a Timberwolf colorway with Angora and Dusk accents.

Lead footwear designer Joe Walsh stated, “We knew we wanted to offer a shoe with a sleeker profile while maintaining our strong connection and history within the ’70s running space.” This modern iteration of a classic design is a nod to New Balance’s iconic releases from the past.

Those interested in adding this vintage-inspired sneaker to their collection can purchase it on March 26 through the New Balance web store. With brands like New Balance embracing archival designs for their new releases, the trend of looking to the past for fashion inspiration continues to grow in the footwear industry.
