Annual Small Business Day Hosted by NFIB Minnesota

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) in Minnesota recently held its annual Small Business Day at their new office in St. Paul. The event gathered small business owners from across the state, giving them the opportunity to voice their concerns and advocate for their businesses. NFIB State Director Jon Boesche emphasized the importance of small business owners’ voices being heard by lawmakers, especially as they consider potential reforms and address the state’s budget situation.

State Senator Rich Draheim and Representative Dave Baker, both NFIB members, joined the event to show their support for small business and discuss key issues such as Paid Family Medical Leave and the projected budget deficit. Attendees were also updated on the 20% small business deduction and the Corporate Transparency Act.

The event was sponsored by Cigna and Hill Capitol Associates, allowing small business owners to network and engage with policymakers. The NFIB Small Business Day aimed to further strengthen the relationship between small businesses and lawmakers in Minnesota.
