Lady Caroline Waldegrave is set to make her debut as a judge on the upcoming season of Great Celebrity Bake Off. She will be joining Paul Hollywood as celebrities such as Kate Garraway and Roman Kemp compete to impress the judges. Dame Prue Leith stepped down from her role on the show to have more time off, allowing Lady Waldegrave to take her place.
Ahead of the new season, Lady Waldegrave admitted to feeling terrified but was welcomed warmly by the production company and her co-hosts, Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding. Lady Waldegrave is no stranger to TV, having appeared on other cooking shows in the past.
She is also the co-owner of Leiths School of Food and Wine, which she bought with Sir Christopher Bland in 1994. Lady Waldegrave is married to William Waldegrave, a former Conservative politician, and they have four children together. Lady Waldegrave and Dame Prue Leith have been friends since they met at the age of 20 and have co-written several cookery books together.
Describing their friendship, Lady Waldegrave mentioned that she and Dame Prue Leith have different personalities but complement each other well. She praised Dame Leith for her boldness, warmth, and courage, stating that she possesses all the qualities needed in a friend.
