Bigler family from Marshall, Minnesota and Southwest Minnesota State celebrates global basketball day

The Marshall Tigers faced off against two-time defending champion Benilde-St. Margaret’s in a highly anticipated game, with Marshall’s standout player Taleigha Bigler leading the charge. Bigler, a junior guard committed to playing for the Mustangs, had a strong performance in the Class 3A final.

Despite Marshall’s coach, Tom Webb, leading his team to victory in previous games, the Tigers ultimately fell short in the regional final. Taleigha’s father, who supported her from afar, was proud of her accomplishments on the court.

The Bigler family showed strong support for Taleigha, with her mother Heather and siblings cheering her on in the stands. Other relatives, including great-grandfather Lloyd Bigler, also traveled to show their support for the Marshall Tigers.

Overall, the game was a testament to Taleigha Bigler’s talent and determination on the court, despite Marshall’s loss in the regional final.
