Sheriff Turns Over Tax Collection Money and Plans for New Wing Revealed at Pilot Butte Inn
The Deschutes County sheriff’s office turned over $14,304.84 of 1924 taxes and $18,159.42 of 1923 taxes to the county treasurer. Meanwhile, plans for an addition to the Pilot Butte Inn were announced by owner Philip R. Brooks. The new wing, designed by local architect Hugh Thompson, will have 36 guest rooms and modern facilities. Excavation is already underway, and Brooks expects the building to be completed by June 1.
