Olivia City Makes $2 Investment to Acquire Community Center
Olivia, a city in Minnesota, is set to become the owner of a full-fledged community center with just a $2 investment. The center will include a commercial kitchen, dining area, gymnasium, classroom, office areas, and a three-story elevator. The ideal downtown location will provide the city with a large building and property previously used for storing military vehicles.
The acquisition will solve the city’s need for a new home for its utilities operations while also offering a space for community activities. State Senator Andrew Lang played a key role in facilitating the transfer of the property, originally constructed in 1914.
