Lakers defeat Wolves in Los Angeles

The Minnesota Timberwolves fell to the Los Angeles Lakers 111-102 in their latest game. Despite the loss, rookie Terrence Shannon Jr. had an impressive performance, scoring a season-high 25 points off the bench in 29 minutes of action. This marked Shannon Jr.’s first career 25+ point game and he became the ninth rookie in Timberwolves history to achieve this milestone. Additionally, he became the fourth rookie in team history to finish a game with 25+ points and 5+ rebounds off the bench.

The Timberwolves were able to outscore the Lakers in fastbreak points and Shannon Jr. was perfect from the free throw line, hitting all six of his attempts. Despite the loss, the team showed improvements in certain areas, including their ability to score 20+ fastbreak points for the 10th time this season.

This game also marked the fifth consecutive game where the Timberwolves made 20+ free throws. The team will look to build on Shannon Jr.’s standout performance as they continue their season.
