Grant David Sherwin, a 24-year-old resident of Minneapolis, MN, passed away on February 22, 2025, after a six-week battle with a rare central nervous system infection. Grant was born in Wichita, KS, and moved to Minnesota at a young age, where he excelled in sports and academics. He graduated from Mayo High School in 2018 and earned a degree in Accounting from the University of Minnesota in 2023. Grant worked as an accountant at Catholic Eldercare Senior Community in Minneapolis and was known for his gift of conversation and love of sports, especially the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals.
Grant’s love of fishing, extreme weather, and spontaneous trips home endeared him to those who knew him. He cherished his family and pets, leaving a void that can never be filled. Grant is survived by his parents, grandparents, aunts, cousins, and was preceded in death by his grandmothers and aunt. A private family gathering and interment will take place in the summer, with memorials directed to the Rochester Police Athletic League or a charity of choice.
