Ukraine reports one person killed in Russian missile strike on Kyiv


A Russian missile salvo on the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv resulted in at least one civilian death and four injuries, as well as multiple fires in the city. The attack occurred around 4:30 a.m. local time, with air defenses attempting to intercept the missiles. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the attack as “Russian terror” and called for unity among partners to end the war.

Critical infrastructure was damaged, and two people were injured in the northern region of Chernihiv as well. The attack highlights ongoing tensions between Russia and Ukraine, with fears of escalating violence and destruction.
