State Rep. John Huot recently met with Dakota County leaders, school officials, and township representatives to discuss legislative priorities and community needs. He emphasized the importance of collaborating to serve residents effectively. Huot was also joined by House Higher Education DFL Lead, State Rep. Dan Wolgamott, to engage with ISD #196 teachers on creating post-secondary pathways for high school students.
Additionally, Huot had a productive meeting with Fairview representatives regarding the construction of a new mental health facility in Saint Paul, addressing the growing need for mental health care in Minnesota. The facility will offer immediate care to individuals in distress in a safe environment.
As tariffs are set to impact prices on essential goods, Huot reminded residents about Minnesota’s Unclaimed Property Program, urging them to check for unclaimed assets such as dormant bank accounts and uncashed checks. He is dedicated to reuniting Minnesotans with their missing money.
