Collision at Seattle-Tacoma airport as Japan Airlines plane hits Delta plane’s tail


A Japan Airlines plane’s right wing struck the tail of a Delta Airlines plane while taxiing on the runway at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The collision occurred around 10:40 a.m., and although no injuries were reported, the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board will be investigating the incident. The FAA paused some flights into the airport as a result of the collision. Delta Flight 1921, a Boeing 737 bound for Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and Japan Airlines Flight JL68 from Narita International Airport in Japan were involved in the incident. Both airlines apologized for the inconvenience caused by the collision. Video footage posted on social media shows the Japan Airlines plane’s wing stuck on the tail of the Delta plane.
