Minnesota wants input on electric aviation’s future — General Aviation News

The Minnesota Department of Transportation is conducting a study on electric aviation in the state, seeking input from stakeholders to help identify airports suitable for electric aircraft operations. The study, known as the Minnesota Electric Aviation Network (MEAN) Study, aims to highlight opportunities for electric aviation and guide future infrastructure development in Minnesota. With 133 public-use airports in the state, officials are looking to gather feedback from pilots, airport managers, businesses located at airports, and manufacturers of electric aircraft components. In-person meetings are also being held to gather input from the community. The results of the study will play a crucial role in shaping the future of electric aviation in Minnesota.
