Minnesota United has added defender Nicolás Romero to their roster, signing him from Club Atlético Tucumán to a three-year contract with a club option for 2028. The 21-year-old center back, who will occupy a U22 Initiative and international roster spot pending visa and transfer paperwork, expressed excitement about joining Major League Soccer and the competitive challenges ahead.

MNUFC Chief Soccer Officer Khaled El-Ahmad praised Romero’s ambition and work ethic, expecting him to bolster the team’s defense with his athleticism and versatility. Romero has played 78 games for Tucumán since 2021, scoring twice and making his professional debut in February of that year.
