Velo3D, Inc. has appointed Darren Beckett as their new chief technology officer, bringing with him over 25 years of experience in hardware and software development for the AM and semiconductor industries. With a background that includes two decades at Intel Corporation, Beckett will be overseeing the development and implementation of all internal and external technology initiatives for Velo3D.
CEO Arun Jeldi expressed his excitement about Beckett joining the team, highlighting his proven track record of leading next-generation technology teams to create innovative solutions. Beckett’s blend of technical expertise and strategic leadership will be crucial in executing Velo3D’s new corporate vision and driving their next phase of growth.
Prior to joining Velo3D, Beckett held leadership roles at Woodruff Scientific and Sigma Additive Solutions, where he contributed to the development of their additive manufacturing quality control IP portfolio. His extensive experience at Intel focused on 3D manufacturing and next-generation technology development.
In his new role, Beckett is enthusiastic about contributing to Velo3D’s mission of enabling customers to utilize additive manufacturing to scale production of complex parts. As Velo3D continues to expand its leadership position in 3D printing technology, Beckett will lead the Research and Development and Informational Technology teams, as well as implement advanced manufacturing technologies.
