The Winona State football team is gearing up to celebrate their seniors in their final home game of the season against Minnesota Duluth on November 2nd. The Warriors, currently 4-4 overall, are looking to secure their third straight home victory and end a losing streak against Minnesota Duluth dating back to 2003. The game will be preceded by the Warrior Game Day Experience starting at 11:00am.
Winona State’s Ty Johnson was named NSIC Special Teams Player of the Week after an impressive performance in their last game against Bemidji State. The team’s defense has been solid, allowing just 311.5 yards per game to opponents and boasting the fourth-best pass defense in the NSIC.
On the other side, Minnesota Duluth comes into the game with a 4-4 record and leads the league in scoring offense, averaging 33.8 points per game. Quarterback Kyle Walljasper has been a key player for the Bulldogs, leading in passing and rushing yards.
Following this matchup, Winona State will travel to Southwest Minnesota State, while Minnesota Duluth will face off against Concordia-St. Paul.
