Moorhead resident apprehended following threats to set trailer ablaze and harm law enforcement officers – Bring Me The News

A 38-year-old man from Moorhead was arrested after making threats to set a trailer on fire and stab police officers. The incident occurred on Friday in the 1100 block of 7th Avenue North.

The man, identified as Tyler Korn, had allegedly been drinking and became agitated, prompting him to make the threats. Police were called to the scene and encountered Korn, who was reportedly holding a knife. He refused to comply with officers’ commands and continued to threaten them.

After a brief standoff, Korn was taken into custody without further incident. He was charged with felony counts of making terroristic threats and threats of violence.

Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident, and authorities were able to diffuse the situation before any damage was done.

This is not the first time Korn has had a run-in with the law. He has a previous criminal record that includes convictions for assault and domestic violence.

The Moorhead Police Department commended the officers involved in handling the situation and ensuring the safety of the community. They emphasized the importance of de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention training in dealing with volatile situations like this.

Korn is currently being held at the Clay County Jail pending further legal proceedings. The incident serves as a reminder of the dangers that law enforcement officers face in the line of duty and the need for proper training and resources to handle such situations effectively.
