Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested at the Park Hyatt hotel in New York on Monday. U.S. Attorney Damian Williams confirmed the arrest, with federal agents acting on a sealed indictment filed by the Southern District of New York. Combs’ attorney, Marc Agnifilo, expressed disappointment in a statement, asserting that Combs had cooperated with the investigation and voluntarily moved to New York in anticipation of the charges. While the specific charges were not immediately clear, Combs has faced numerous lawsuits accusing him of sexual assault and misconduct, including one from former girlfriend Cassie Ventura. Combs settled with Ventura without disclosing the terms, denying any wrongdoing. Dawn Richard, another former employee, also sued Combs, alleging threats and abuse. Combs has denied these allegations as well, but apologized for an incident captured on hotel surveillance video showing him assaulting Ventura in 2016. In March, federal investigators searched Combs’ properties in relation to allegations of sex trafficking, assault, and drug and firearm distribution. Combs, known for his music and fashion ventures, has faced consequences for his actions, including Howard University cutting ties with him and him selling his stake in Revolt TV. He recently listed his California home for sale for $61.5 million.
