The Israeli military has stated that leaflets urging residents of a Lebanon border village to evacuate were unsanctioned and dropped without approval. The leaflets, released on Sunday, were the first evacuation order amid months of cross-border fire between Hezbollah and Israel. The leaflets warned residents to leave their homes due to Hezbollah firing from the region and threatened anyone remaining after the stated time would be considered a terrorist. However, the Israeli military clarified that this action was taken by a brigade without proper approval and that no official evacuation was underway. The village of Wazzani, where the leaflets were dropped, is an agricultural region where Syrian refugees often work. The village mayor mentioned that some Syrian workers have left the area, but as farmers, they cannot abandon their land and livestock. Tens of thousands of civilians on both sides of the Israel-Lebanon frontier have already fled due to the ongoing cross-border strikes. The situation remains tense as the conflict between Hezbollah and Israel continues, with residents caught in the middle and facing the constant threat of violence.
