World Wide Technology Raceway in Madison, Ill. is set to host its first-ever NASCAR Cup Series Playoff Race in 2025. The Enjoy Illinois 300, previously held in June, has been moved to Sunday, Sept. 7, 2025, as the second race of the 10-event Cup Series Playoffs. The 240-lap, 300-mile race on the 1.25-mile track is expected to draw even more visitors to the region.
The CEO of World Wide Technology Raceway, Curtis Francois, expressed gratitude to NASCAR for selecting the track for this prestigious event, highlighting the support of dedicated fans and the Steward family. The raceway has celebrated three consecutive sellouts of the Cup Series race, with dramatic finishes each year.
The Enjoy Illinois 300 has become a significant platform for Illinois tourism, generating $60 million in economic impact to the Metro East region and attracting thousands of NASCAR fans from around the world. The title sponsor, the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, Office of Tourism, is thrilled to continue their partnership with WWT Raceway for the fourth consecutive year.
The race start time and full weekend schedule will be announced at a later date.
