Saints bullpen crucial in securing victory in Omaha on Tuesday

Caleb Boushley’s promotion to the Minnesota Twins forced the St. Paul Saints to go with a bullpen game against the Omaha Storm Chasers on Tuesday night. Despite the challenge, the Saints managed to defeat the best team in the Minor Leagues with an 8-2 victory.

In the first inning, the Saints came out swinging, scoring five runs to take an early lead. The bullpen then stepped up, with four pitchers combining to allow just two runs and strike out 12. Payton Eeles, DaShawn Keirsey Jr., and Yunior Severino were among the key players contributing to the victory.

Pitchers Ryan Jensen, Zack Weiss, Nick Wittgren, and Josh Winder all played crucial roles in shutting down the Storm Chasers’ offense and securing the win for the Saints. Keirsey Jr. had an impressive performance, going 3-5 with an RBI and two runs scored.

Overall, it was a strong team effort from the Saints, who will look to continue their winning streak in game two of the series against the Storm Chasers on Wednesday night at Werner Park. With this victory, the Saints have shown they have the depth and talent needed to compete with the best teams in the Minor Leagues.
