A massive fire broke out at Camping World of Route 356 in Allegheny Township, Westmoreland County, on Wednesday morning. The fire, which was reported at around 4:40 a.m., involved 18 campers and was accompanied by roughly a dozen explosions from propane tanks on the vehicles. Thankfully, no one was injured, and the fire did not spread to the business. Rachel Ramsey, who witnessed the fire from her home, described the situation as nerve-wracking and frightening. Ten fire departments responded to the scene, with crews arriving quickly to secure the area. Prompt reporting likely saved a significant amount of property. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, with the State Police Fire Marshall leading the efforts. Surveillance video from the store will be reviewed to determine what sparked the blaze. Despite the extensive damage to the campers, the quick response and collaborative efforts of emergency responders helped prevent further injuries or damage. Residents in the area were reassured that the situation was under control, and authorities are working diligently to uncover the cause of the fire and prevent similar incidents in the future.
