The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has reported significant growth in enrollment for the fall 2023 semester, with a nearly 27 percent increase in first-time freshman and an 18 percent increase in transfer students. This growth can be attributed to the university’s efforts to offer affordable and accessible higher education options.
Chancellor Christina Drale credited the hard work and dedication of the university’s faculty, staff, and administration for creating an environment that attracts and supports student success. The university launched the Trojan Guarantee scholarship initiative in 2023, offering full tuition to qualifying students, building on a previous scholarship program from 2020.
Overall undergraduate enrollment increased by 3.5 percent, from 5,255 to 5,439 students for the fall 2024 term. However, graduate enrollment declined to 1,441 students, a decrease from the previous fall due to a drop in international student numbers.
UA Little Rock’s commitment to providing affordable education options and supporting student success has resulted in this positive enrollment growth. The university continues to be a popular choice for both incoming freshman and transfer students seeking a quality education.
