Andrew Tate put under house arrest by Romanian court for a period of 30 days.

Romanian court has placed Andrew Tate under house arrest following his involvement in a human trafficking and sexual exploitation investigation along with five others. Tate, a former professional kickboxer, and his brother, Tristan, were detained for 24 hours after house searches were conducted in Ilfov county and Bucharest. While Diicot requested a 30-day arrest for the Tate brothers, the judge decided on house arrest for Andrew and judiciary control for Tristan.

In a statement, their representative Mateea Petrescu maintained the Tate brothers’ innocence, calling the accusations baseless. This development comes after their previous indictment in mid-2023 on similar charges, which they also denied.

Andrew Tate, known for promoting an ultra-masculine lifestyle, has been vocal on social media. In response to the recent arrest, he dismissed the allegations as false on his X account.

Diicot announced the detention of six individuals for various crimes including human trafficking, forming criminal groups, and money laundering. The victims were coerced into making pornography which was then sold online, generating substantial profits. One defendant allegedly forced a 17-year-old to produce pornography in Britain and Romania, while also engaging in sexual activity with a 15-year-old victim.

The case has shocked Romania, shedding light on the dark underworld of human trafficking and exploitation. The accused are facing serious charges, and the investigation is ongoing.
