Indiana Applebee’s special ends with arrest for taking advantage of ‘All-you-can-eat’ offer

A woman was arrested in Portage, Indiana after sharing an “all-you-can-eat” item with her table at Applebee’s and refusing to pay for the extra special. The 28-year-old woman got into an argument with the restaurant’s manager over the $15.99 special, leading to a disturbance that prompted police to be called. The group was causing chaos in the restaurant, with multiple people screaming and threatening others, according to the arrest report.

The officer determined that the group was not following the restaurant’s rules, as the menu clearly stated that the “All You Can Eat” special was for one person only. Despite warnings from the officer, the woman continued to argue and was ultimately arrested on a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct.

Her friend eventually paid the full tab after realizing the mistake. A representative for Applebee’s was not available for comment on the incident. The situation highlights the importance of following restaurant rules and guidelines to avoid disputes and potential legal consequences.
