Throughout 2021, Rhode Island has seen a number of celebrity sightings, from the Culpo-McCaffrey wedding to star-studded film sets. Many famous visitors to the Ocean State have been spotted dining at Italian restaurants.
Actor Steve Schirripa, known for his roles in “The Sopranos” and “Blue Bloods,” enjoyed meatballs at Longo Ristorante Pizzeria in Westerly earlier this year. In a video on the pizzeria’s Instagram page, Schirripa praised the meatballs as the best he’s ever had.
Actress Jamie Lee Curtis, while filming her upcoming movie “Ella McCay” in Providence, recommended Seven Stars Bakery for coffee and New Rivers Beau for dinner. She also praised Little Sister for brunch.
Woody Harrelson, also in town shooting “Ella McCay,” was spotted enjoying a beer at Lang’s Bowlarama in Cranston.
Before their June wedding, Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey visited Twin Oaks in Cranston. Twin Oaks’ owner, Susan Deangelus Valles, shared that it was McCaffrey’s first time there, so Culpo gave him a tour of the restaurant while attending a baby shower.
In January, Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy brought his One Bite Pizza Reviews series to Rhode Island, visiting pizzerias in Providence, Cranston, and Johnston.
Overall, Rhode Island’s Italian restaurants have been a popular choice for celebrity visitors this year, providing them with delicious meals and memorable dining experiences.
