Dion closed out the ceremony with her first performance since announcing her diagnosis with stiff-person syndrome in 2022, singing “L’Hymne à l’amour” by Édith Piaf at the base of the Eiffel Tower. The event showcased a spectacular light show, a zip-lining Olympic torch, and iconic fashion from Louis Vuitton. The Opening Ceremony can be watched on NBC and streaming on Peacock from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
