Minnesota West Community & Technical College hosted a Youth Football Camp on their Worthington campus, providing kids aged 7-16 with the opportunity to interact with Bluejay players and coaches. The camp included position drills, communication activities, and touch football games. Former NFL players Arturo Freeman and Rod Coleman were also present to meet the kids.

The camp featured various drills led by Bluejay players, including running backs/wide receivers, defensive linemen, and defensive backs. Kids had the chance to participate in these drills and interact with the players. A highlight of the camp was the touch football games where kids had fun playing alongside the Minnesota West Bluejays.

The event showcased the community spirit of the college’s football program and provided a fun and engaging experience for the youth participants. Parents were also involved in the camp, with head coach Jermaine Smith addressing them at the end of the day.

Skyler Jackson, a reporter covering news and sports for The Globe, captured photos of the camp activities. Jackson, who graduated from South Dakota State University, recently joined the publication and has settled in Worthington for his current job.

Overall, the Youth Football Camp at Minnesota West Community & Technical College was a successful event that brought together kids, former NFL players, Bluejay players, coaches, and parents for a day of football drills, games, and community engagement.
