A new lawsuit filed against former Windsor Mayor Dominic Foppoli by his brother Joe accuses him of using their winery’s funds for personal expenses and refusing to step back from the business despite promises to do so. The lawsuit alleges that Dominic continued to be heavily involved in the management of Two Kings Wine Company, the parent company of Christopher Creek Winery, even after Joe attempted to remove him.
Dominic has denied having a specific defined role in the winery, claiming he only checks in and consults with family and managers. However, Joe’s attorney maintains that Dominic is acting as the CEO. The lawsuit also alleges that Dominic used the winery’s funds for personal travel and expenses and that Joe was underpaid and misclassified as a worker at Christopher Creek.
The lawsuit comes in the wake of multiple allegations of sexual assault and misconduct against Dominic, which led to criminal investigations in four states but no charges were filed. Dominic resigned as mayor and left Sonoma County for Italy amid the controversy. The lawsuit claims that Dominic used the winery as his “personal bank” and engaged in a life of luxury travel in Europe.
The lawsuit seeks to hold Dominic accountable for his alleged misuse of the winery’s funds and his refusal to step back from the business, as well as address the allegations of underpayment and misclassification of Joe. The ongoing legal battle adds to the turmoil surrounding Dominic Foppoli and raises questions about his involvement in the winery’s operations despite previous assurances of stepping aside.
