SOWELA’s Machine Tool Technology Program offers high-paying job opportunities without the need for a four-year degree. The program, which prepares students for careers as machinists and millwrights, teaches essential manufacturing skills such as installing conveyor systems and operating CNC machines. Graduates can expect starting pay of $30/hour, with potential earnings of $50 or more with experience. Local industry provides apprenticeship opportunities, with Citgo’s program even incorporating SOWELA’s two-year coursework. Scholarships and financial aid are available for eligible students.
